R.I.P. George Carlin
The first thing I saw when I got online this morning was that George Carlin had died. This guy was nothing more than a comic genius, and in my opinion, the reigning American icon of comedy. "Groundbreaking" doesn't begin to cover it. His timing and delivery were unsurpassed, and he could make an audience laugh simply by raising an eyebrow. I'm very happy I got to see him live several years ago. Here is one of my favorite bits of his, about "kitty cats." Warning: Explicit language. I mean c'mon, it's f***in' George Carlin!

I wanted to post the famous words you can't say on TV but thought it was a bit much, lol. Remember the scandal when he came up with those? He was brilliant and i am so sad. LOVELY entry about him. I am going to watch that video.
Hugs
He could get away with anything. The people I know who look at you shocked if you say Hell, all found him funny anyway. I was never even bored with the repetition of some of his jokes(as I am with others) because he'd make subtle, better alterations. ~Mary
As soon as I saw that on AOL, somehow I knew you would give him time on your journal. (I can't think of anyone better to do so)...He was a comic genius. I don't think there will ever be another who can even fill the shoes he filled. (Hugs)Indigo
