I need a motivational speaker

Jeez, I'm finding it hard to get motivated today! I guess the past couple of days at work have sucked all the energy out of me, and as I mentioned, the weather has something to do with it, too. I've managed to get a few things done, but I feel generally lackadaisical.

I meant to cook a beef roast today, but I forgot to take it out of the freezer last night! (Ken and I both conked out on the couch and woke up around 12:30 AM. Then it was a matter of brushing teeth and crawling into bed.) And this is important: I forgot to write a note to myself to take a roast out of the freezer. Do you see why I have to make lists? I finally managed to decide what to make tonight. I'll go with a baked penne, and do some bread with roasted garlic, plus a nice salad. That'll work!

Is anyone else struggling with the winter blahs? Let's all sympathize with each other!

More breaking news on CNN! Wow, that's twice today. The Teamster's Union will be endorsing...Barack Obama. It seems like that's a pretty huge endorsement.

They had a story on here earlier about the "wordification" of Obama's name. It was actually pretty funny. All kinds of plays on words using his name. One of the most popular is Obamarama, but there's also Obamazon, an ardent female supporter, and Baracky-talkies, which are how campaign workers communicate. And of course, there's Barack Star, which is how many feel he is being treated. I don't know if this is on the list (it probably is), but how about Obamenon? It all seems a little silly, doesn't it? Who can come up with the most clever Obamicon? <grin>

I'm with you on the winter blahs.  There is just nothing going on right now.  Not much reason to get excited about life.
I watched that thing on the Obamaisms.  I like Obamination.  As in he is an...

I feel sorry for you folks back east still getting snow and ice. If I lived there I am sure I would have tried to throw myself over or off of a snow bank by now. Where is a holiday in Mexico when you need it. The spring flowers are starting to bloom here and the weather has been warm and sunny. The thing about lists is that a person has to remember what it is that they need to write down on the list. Sad but true and so many times I come up with a blank.  The Teamsters supporting Obama is indeed big news. The momentum is building. Those wordifications of Obama's name are really funny and I had never seen them before.

I think America is ready to punish those who are all about negative campaigning.  Even as a staunch Republican, I am turned off by the start of negative comments and attitude coming from McCain toward Obama.  In order for our country to start our next phase, we need hope and cooperation, not more stridency and negativity.  So lets "hope" that both parties can compete on who can be the most positive and provide the best picture of our next four years, and not who will be the worst for the next four years.  God Bless America. :o)

i know what you mean about being sick of the weather and it just seems to go on and on with the cold and snow and stuff. Plus, work? Ugh. I need a vacation already!
I hope you have that roast out of the freezer now. Sounds good!

As I commented earlier more snow and I seriously just don't want to be out in it. So yeah, call it the winter blahs. I'm tired of being cold and don't have energy for much else. Even Pickles just wants to sleep next to the radiators where's it's warm. I have several people I write snail mail to from online. (One of those more personal touches to friendships) and I haven't even gotten around to getting those letters out.....Blah and more blah.....On an upside, I saw the brightest Red Cardinal ever. It was beautiful, I was totally mesmerized watching it jumping from branch to branch with the snow falling. (Hugs) Indigo
