Speaking of art....

This time it's performance art. While I'm not a big fan of said art, Kimberley sent me a link to this video, and I just thought it was supercool and groovy. It's 5 minutes frozen in time, and the reactions of others are very interesting! What would YOU do if you were in this situation? I think I would just watch and see what happened. What do you think? Is this art, or is it an attempt to get publicity? Discuss amongst yourselves.

I wanted to thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment on my journal. When I took art in school we discussed this type of art as well as a lot of others that I had never heard of such as installation art. I think that this is pretty cool because, lets face it you have to have a lot of guts and discipline to do that. I would have sat there all day just watching.... Tawnya

it took me 2 days and many tries to get that video to work but darnit, it finally worked and i was able to see it!
I think it was art and VERY interesting. Reminds me of something my 19 yr old would LOVE to participate in. I would be fascinated if i was there....i'd record them and stare.

Sorry it wasn't working well for you, Lisa. When I got on here today, it was acting a little wonky for me, too, so I replaced it with a different version.

I have to say that I think it is pretty neat. It's kind of a contextual thing, something you wouldn't expect. It reminds me of when I was in college, and I modeled a few times for my friend Barb, a photojournalism major. Once she had me and her sister's boyfriend posing in a hallway in the Arts Building, probably the oldest building on campus, with radiators and tile floors. Very cool. Anyway, a lot of profs had their offices there, and one came out of his office and saw us--Barb was posing me and Jeff, Jeff was kinda punk-looking, and I was wearing a leopard print dress. The prof stopped and watched for a moment, then said, "Wow...this is so out of context." Barb and I still laugh about that!
