Breaking news

I've got CNN on, and there is some sad news.

You heard about Ted Kennedy being evaluated after a seizure over the weekend? Doctors have found a malignant brain tumor.

No matter how you feel about his politics, he has served his country in the Senate for many years (longer than all 3 remaining presidential candidates combined, can you believe that?), and I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

They still haven't said if it's operable. I would imagine they would try to get as much out as possible with surgery, then treat with chemotherapy and radiation.

My thoughts and prayers are certainly with the Senator and his family.

Ted & I don't meet up much on the political front, but I did like what he did with his education committee & I thought his invite of Laura Bush to speak was kind & quite line crossing. Obama has looked to him for much guidance, at least in public.  I am interested to hear his feelings.
I hope everything  goes as well as possible.  Lots of disease indignity going around, & I am always sorry for that. ~Mary
