Tank tops!

It's not exactly warm enough to wear them, but today I got my summer and winter clothes switched. We don't have large closets, so I shuffle everything around twice a year between the closets in the spare bedrooms, under-the-bed storage, and the basement. I don't mind doing it, because it's almost like I forget about some things over the course of the season, and *presto!* I have a whole new wardrobe!

I also realized that we're going to Florida before too long, so I'd better have all those clothes accessible! I checked the temperatures in New Smyrna Beach, and it's already in the mid-80's and higher. Woohoo! It's been a fairly cool May so far, and I'm looking forward to some heat.

It was also a nice reminder of our cruise last summer, as I pulled out some of the tops that I wore, the tie-dyed T-shirt I got in Jamaica ("No problem!"), the tank top I got in Mexico, etc. We're already saving for the next one, perhaps in 5 years or so. It took us about 6 years to save up for the first one, so it's something to look forward to and save for!

I've missed wearing my slip-on Keds, one of my favorite shoes ever. I'm weird about wearing sneakers without socks, though, so I got some of those half socks. They make me laugh every time I put them on, and my pal Jillian finds them funny, too. It's kind of a problem, though, because if you take your shoes off at the door at someone's house, there you are wearing these weird half socks. I haven't quite decided whether I should just walk around in my toe socks or take the socks off and stick 'em inside my shoes and go barefoot. What a dilemma! Any suggestions?

Tonight we're having a beef roast I'm cooking in the crock pot, and it's been cooking for about 3 hours now. I'm on the verge of salivating. There--I said it, now I AM salivating. I put on lots of Emeril's Essence--BAM!--and some onion powder, then added a cup of beef broth and a cup of a nice red wine. I predict we will also have a glass of that wine with dinner. I think I'll roast some asparagus, too. HEY! That reminds me--I need to go out and see if we have some that I can harvest! I'm glad I remembered that.

Happy Friday!

Enjoy your roast and wine.  Sounds really good.  I lived in South Florida for over 20 years and couldn't wait to see the changing of the seasons again.  Now I wish I could afford to live out my golden years somewhere near a beach.  Never satisfied...LOL.

I wear half socks too for the same reason. It depends on how well I know the people in the group. If they are all old friends, I just take the half socks completely off and stuff them in my shoes, other wise I keep them on. However, my sister says I look dorky with the half-socks on without my shoes. That's what baby sisters are for, to keep you humble.

I love the cut=outs but where's the doll?
