Hey, what's for dinner?

Ken said we should just have leftovers since I'm getting over a cold, but I felt pretty good today, so I'm making something simple. It's called Grandma's Rice Dish. Not my grandma's...I don't know whose grandma's recipe it is, but it's pretty tasty. Hamburger, rice, corn, cheese, sort of a skillet thingy, but then baked for a little bit. Perhaps more later!

Chili.  It's what was for dinner.
I make a yummy hamburger, rice, tomatoes, chili powder, onions, celery, green peppers and cheese skillet/bake thing.  Mmmmm They sound similar.

Beth, glad to hear you are feeling better, your dinner sounds good, my grandma used to make something called the kidney bean dish, you take ground beef , cook it until browned, add tomato sauce, diced bacon, kidney beans diced yellow onion and 2 tablespoons of spicy mustard and you have a delicious dinner, Hugs Lisa

Thanks, Everyone!

All of our skillet dishes sound very similar. I find that there's a lot of leeway in that kind of recipe, too, and sometimes I'll use pinto beans, or black beans, etc. (Beans are very good, and very good for you!)

Beth,
I made your ribs and they were sooooo tender!!  Danny loved them!

Now can you post your Grandma's Rice dish when you get a chance and when you feel better?  Or you can email it to me...@ basketlady_98@yahoo.com.

                                         Thanks,
                                              Debbie
