Attack of the Killer 'Possums!
I got some interesting information out of my entry about our little 'possum on our deck. Apparently, 'possums get mean if cornered. Jamie wrote, "...my husband was a bit of a city boy and the first time he saw one, he didn't know what it was and came running out of the house with a bat. haha It was just a baby and ran under the deck. When I told him that his monster animal from the depths of hell was just a tiny oppossum, he felt a bit silly." Hee hee!
And Joann even wrote an entry about her 'possum adventure. Although I was a little more interested to hear about her neighbor adventure! <wink>
Thanks to everyone who shared a little bit of 'possum love with us. I enjoyed it!
I've never been diagnosed with allergies, although it runs in my family. But every so often, when I first get up, I'll be really stuffed up and sneezy. It passes after about an hour, but it's really irritating when it happens. Today was such a day, and my head is finally clearing. I really don't know what causes it, and it's sporadic, so there's no point in my taking Claritin or something like that for it. At least today I was just stuffy, not sneezy (or any of the other dwarfs). I call it my Sneeze Attack, when I sneeze over and over...and over, lasting for about five minutes. It feels like I'm going to literally sneeze my head off!
Wasn't it fascinating to read about my nose? I actually DO have something substantial to write about, but I'll keep it brief. Warning: Political Content Ahead!
It seems that Senator McCain can't recall how many homes he and his wife own. From the AOL News page: "I think — I'll have my staff get to you," McCain responded to a question posed by Politico, according to a story Thursday on the publication's Web site. "It's condominiums where — I'll have them get to you." This is the guy accusing Senator Obama of being an "elitist?" He and his wife's fortune is estimated by some to be upwards of $100 million. You can probably discontinue the "elitist" charges, Senator McCain. It doesn't wash. And not knowing exactly how many homes you own seems a little odd to me. You don't just...forget a house!

Just once I'd like to know what it feels like to forget how many homes you own.
How funny is that. 'On Ya' - ma
... I don't suffer from 'the drips'... so I hope that you don't 'drip' in front of mixed company ..!
... isn't it ironic how Obama has been tagged 'Elitist' ..? A cat raised essentially by a single parent ... not to factor in the ethnic factor ... it is so Orwellian that it REALLY isn't funny ...
... don't care for 'possums ... they ARE mean and ugly ...
I found it funny when they had to release their 2007 income tax information that he listed his and only his. They must have their own seperate money because I know wifey poo is loaded, and I'm sure Johnny boy helps her spend it.

Being a nature and animal lover, I never thought I could come across an animal I didn't care for. The Possum would make the list...We have to bring in the dry food for the outdoor cats at night because of our little visitor. Without fail you know it's been by for a visit. It leaves the cats water spilled all over and just literally trashes our porch; not to mention it stinks to the high heaven. I had to go by a strong plastic tub to keep the bird food in after the possum decided to chew a hole in the bottom and spread it over the porch for me. They have no decorating sense at all (winks). Raccons may steal the cat food, but they are neat little critters and a whole lot friendlier.
You do have to be careful with outside cats and possums they can and will hurt your cat if it comes across one. I'm playing catch up here. Not sure how well I'll succeed. (Hugs)Indigo
In that picture ~ he's a ugly little booger!!!!!

I'm sure most animals(& most people) get mean when cornered. I do admit though, they scare me a bit & I am an animal lover. Mostly it is because Briege sometimes runs past me out the door & I don't want her to be possum food. ~Mary
Possums==BAD NEWS.

I think any wild animal can be mean when cornered. I dont realy have allergies either but if it rains I am very stuffed up. My daughter has horrible allergies. Poor little girl. ..hugs, Christine
